The data visualizations highlight the main reasons for the inequality of women and men in Mexico. They are composed of two parts: The first is about the percentage of women who chose this reason as the prominent inequality between women and men (bottom text). The second part shows current data from the Mexican context that can exemplify this reason.

 

I extracted the main reasons for inequality from the report "Citizens call for a gender-equal world: A roadmap for action" produced by Focus 2030 and Women Deliver facilitated by MakeoverMonday. Also, I investigated to find appropriate and quantifiable databases drawn from Mexican organizations and institutions.

 

Each image is designed to illustrate, through data visualization, the main reasons for inequality in men and women in the Mexican context. The focus is that the viewer has context about the main reasons for the disparity of women and men in Mexico.
